The Role:

As our Podcast Producer, you’re not just producing a podcast - you’re engineering a movement. You bring world-class technical execution and creative strategy to turn every episode into a growth asset. You’re building a machine that scales reach, deepens impact, and converts attention into action.

YOU MUST LIVE IN LOS ANGELES OR BE ABLE TO DRIVE TO LOS ANGELES WITH NO ISSUES.

The Real:

You are the technical anchor of our recording sessions. You are the master of the studio, responsible for ensuring every technical detail is flawlessly executed so our hosts and guests can focus completely on creating great content. You will set up, record, and package every episode for our post-production team.

You’ll also support some post-production work like providing grammar review on the clips.

Lastly, you have a creative mind and love the opportunity to come up with your own ideas that can be implemented to help grow the podcast.

Your Responsibilities:

You’ll lead the full production pipeline - from pre-production to final delivery, with precision, speed, and creative insight. Your systems will ensure flawless execution, zero missed files, and powerful moments captured for short-form growth.

You’ll be responsible for:

End-to-end in-studio setup (multi-cam, audio, lighting)
Livestream and recording management
Real-time time stamping, editing notes, and asset handoff
Post-production coordination with editors and PMs
Capturing clips, thumbnails, and content opportunities on the fly
QA on all published content to protect brand and quality

A tactical checklist will be provided during onboarding - we run a tight ship and expect nothing less than excellence, every time.

Exceptions and training can be made under reasonable circumstances, but applicants must prove they have overall knowledge of how various project management tools work. For example: You are an expert in Asana but have never used ClickUp. We can work with that.

What Success Looks Like:

Your success is measured by operational and technical excellence.

You will be responsible for mainly executing the production for two shows per week:

A.) Our main, video recorded podcast episodes

B.) Livestream show

1. Ensure 100% flawless technical execution for every recording session, before, during and, after recording.

Key Result 1: Achieve 0 instances of lost footage, corrupted audio, or other technical failures due to setup or operational error.
Key Result 2: Ensure 100% of new footage and project assets are organized and delivered to the post-production team within 10 hours of recording completion.
Key Result 3: Work with the project manager to ensure 100% perfect post-production / publishing of all our episodes.

2. Drive audience growth through performance analysis

Key Result 1: Increase average viewer retention on long-form episodes by 10% within 6 months.

For example: by optimizing pacing, set design, or narrative tension.

Key Result 2: Track how each episode contributes to leads generated via CTAs and show notes, and manage analytics to help drive growth. You will have support in this area
Key Result 3: Propose and execute 1 growth experiment (ex. A new segment idea, thumbnail experiment, new short-form series, etc).

Skills & Experience:

Must be based in Los Angeles area and able to work in-person at our studio.
Must be ‘systems and processes’ oriented and know how to lead teams within those processes.
Has a strong portfolio of past podcast production work and livestream show work.
Deep experience setting up and operating multi-camera video shoots.
Proven expertise with podcast audio equipment, including mixers and microphones.
Experience with content strategy and analyzing YouTube performance data.
A creative mind with the ability to identify compelling moments in content.
Extremely organized, able to multi-task efficiently, and follows checklists.
Ability to remain calm and effectively troubleshoot technical problems under pressure.

Technical Proficiencies:

Cameras: (3) Sony A7siii’s: Operate and maintain all gear with a preventative care system
Software: OBS, Adobe Audition, Streamlabs, etc
Hardware: ATEM Mini Pro ISO, RØDECaster Pro II.
Editing Software: Adobe Premiere, DaVinci
Project Management: Notion, ClickUp: Create and maintain production pipelines visible to stakeholders.
Platforms: YouTube Studio Analytics, TikTok & Instagram Reels - Be able to analyze data and understand how to post on all platforms.
Utilities: Google Drive, Basic Server File Management, Rev.ai/Whisper (training provided).

Quality Control & Final Review:

Long-Form Episodes:
Own the final sign-off, guaranteeing the edit is a perfect execution of the production blueprint and meets our creative standard.
Short-Form Clips:
Uphold our standard of excellence by owning the final quality assurance, ensuring every caption is grammatically perfect and error-free before it reaches our audience.

Strategic Ownership:

Content Optimization: Pull performance data weekly, propose 1 change/month to improve hook retention or engagement curve.
YouTube Growth Strategy: Collaborate with marketing to test thumbnail/title iterations and gather feedback loops from analytics.
Guest Research System: Design a repeatable system for prepping hosts with custom bios, topics, and viral hooks.

Pay:

$3,500 - $5,600 base pay.

This is negotiable for the right candidate
