Communications Intern

Location: Rita House, Los Angeles

Hours: 20-25 hours/week

Compensation: [Monthly Stipend + College Credit]

About the Role: Rita House is looking for a creative, high-energy Communications Intern to help us tell the story of our historic space. This is a multi-faceted role that sits at the intersection of social media storytelling, event production, and community engagement. If you are a content creator who loves the energy of live events and productions, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation: Capturing behind-the-scenes (BTS) photo and video of podcast sessions, film shoots, and private events for Instagram/TikTok.
Social Media Management: Designing graphics, video editing, identifying viral trends/audio to jump on, crafting engaging captions, and community management.
Copywriting: Assist in the copywriting for event promotion and internal communications.
Event Support: Assisting with the execution of internal “Rita House” events and private rentals (member mixers, candlelit concerts, panels, and immersive theater shows).

Requirements:

Content Savvy: Proficient in capturing high-quality mobile video and editing in CapCut, Premiere, or Davinci.
Flexible Schedule: Part-time with flexible hours. Weekend and evening availability is preferred to support our event calendar.
Strong Writer: Ability to match the “Rita House” voice—professional, historic, and vibrant.
Solution-Oriented: A “no task is too small” attitude and a passion for hospitality and creative communities.
