On-Air Personality (Part-Time) - 101.5 The Vibe Tampa

Position Overview

Cox Media Group Tampa is looking for an On-Air Personality for 101.5 The Vibe Tampa Bay’s Only R&B. This is a part-time role at 101.5. This is a unique opportunity ideal for someone in the Tampa Bay metro area who has on air, and programming/music scheduling experience.

The position will include a Live air/voice tracking shift on weekends, and assisting the Director of Branding, and Programming with music scheduling.

The On-Air Personality will work closely with the Director of Branding and Programming to execute the station’s strategy. The individual must have an intimate understanding of the brand's 25-54 African American life group and be able to focus the programming and design on that audience’s evolving desires and habits. In addition to all on-air responsibilities, this On-Air Personality must be active in the community and serve as a liaison for community efforts as it relates to 101.5 The Vibe.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Host on 101.5 The Vibe. This includes tracking and live shifts.
• Prepare and execute compelling content for the station's target demographic
• Work closely with the Director of Branding and Programming to execute the station’s brand strategy, including some scheduling.
• Maintain compliance with daily local, and commercial logs
• Ensure weather and traffic sponsorships are played on time daily
• Post program content to stations on various Social Media platforms as directed
• Execute endorsements
• Record commercials
• Edit and upload audio when required
• Get audio from local newsmakers
• Host/Appear at station events

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years hosting on-air programming.
• Music scheduling experience.
• Available as needed on weekdays, and some weekends for up to 29 hrs.
• Superior communication skills
• Computer skills in audio delivery and automation systems, such as Wide Orbit, Adobe Audition, etc.
• Excellent networking and relationship-building skills
• Organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Extensive digital experience with station websites, social media, and mobile app
• Available as needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays
