About Us

At A Bit of Optimism with Simon Sinek, we spotlight leadership for today and tomorrow—not the suit behind a desk, but the people who show up, speak up, and lead with empathy. From world leaders and startup founders to death doulas and mountain climbers, we feature those blazing new paths and redefining what it means to lead.

We’re a tight-knit crew that moves mountains—fearless, fast, and fully invested in every story we tell. Each episode is a chance to push boundaries, spark inspiration, and create something that truly matters.

We work with people who think differently, care deeply, and want their work to make a real impact. If you want to shape projects from start to finish, push boundaries, and be part of a team that leads with heart, this is your place. We do what we do because we believe good things are possible—and we want you to help us prove it.

  • Communicate clearly with editors and team members about project status and progress.
  • Love podcasts, storytelling, and working in a team that values kindness, clear communication, and strong opinions about coffee.

Reporting to the Head of Production, you’ll own the end-to-end podcast process, including producing, editing, and publishing top-tier audio and video, supporting the host with prep and scripts, and managing guest logistics. You’ll help shape the show’s voice, drive its growth, and ensure every episode leaves a lasting impact.

  • Craft compelling short-form clips for social (YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Reels).
  • Collaborate with editors on complex or creative projects.
  • Support host prep with scripts, talking points, and research briefs.
  • Manage guest scheduling, tech checks, bios, and logistics.
  • Contribute creative ideas in editorial meetings and help shape episode strategy.
  • Assist with multi-cam shoots (in-studio and remote), lighting, and sound.
  • Capture behind-the-scenes content to amplify the show’s presence.
  • Write compelling episode titles and descriptions; copyedit show notes.
  • Coordinate with the social team on content planning and promotion.
  • Track performance metrics and support strategies for audience growth.

Who You Are

You are a creative, reliable, and collaborative storyteller with experience in TV, digital media, or other content platforms. Requirements:

  • 3+ years producing and editing high-quality video podcasts, host-driven shows, or related video content.
  • Experience working closely with on-camera talent to create a relaxed, confident production environment.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with editors and communicate clearly to a team.

  • Exceptional writing skills for episode titles, descriptions, and show notes.
  • Strong video editing skills (Premiere Pro preferred); bonus for long-form editing or light animations.
  • Experience directing multi-cam shoots, remote recordings, and managing technical production.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
