FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.
JOB DESCRIPTION
FOX 2 Detroit is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Assistant to join our dynamic sales team. In this essential support role, you’ll help prepare solution-driven proposals and manage the execution of linear and digital advertising campaigns across a variety of platforms—including Connected TV, Livestream, Mobile, Sponsored Content, Facebook, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
You’ll play a pivotal role in the success of our sales team, with responsibilities including:
  • Assisting in the creation of customized, client-focused proposals (primarily PowerPoint-based)
  • Inputting and fulfilling advertising orders across multiple platforms
  • Posting advertising schedules and maintaining accuracy across campaigns
  • Managing makegoods in coordination with the sales team and clients
  • Collaborating daily with Sales Managers and Account Executives—positivity and professionalism are a must
  • Staying organized, flexible, and responsive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
Qualifications:
  • 1–2 years of experience in account service, customer service, media, or a digital agency environment
  • College degree preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Familiarity with systems such as Wide Orbit and Google Ad Manager is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of digital advertising products: Display, Mobile, Email, Native, Facebook, and Video
  • A strong desire to grow within the media and advertising industry

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $45,000.00-50,000.00 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
