About The Role
Seaport Entertainment is looking for a Assistant Vice President, Marketing based in New York for our rapidly growing company. Reporting to the SVP, Marketing, they will be a passionate (and analytical) brand builder and leader who excites the marketing team, ensures execution of all marketing initiatives and evolves as the business requires. They will be responsible for developing and setting a comprehensive marketing strategy for the Seaport neighborhood. This includes the Tin Building, the Cobblestones, and Pier 17. Key aspects of the role will be creating activations and strategic partnership programs as well as building relationships with retailers and neighborhood constituents. This role will be responsible for budget planning and managing a small team and will collaborate with Operations, Strategic Sponsorships, and Senior Stakeholders to drive revenue through connected & relevant campaigns.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies, including PR, event marketing and paid media, that align with the Seaport’s business goals and objectives.
  • Manage Seaport’s multiple brands, ensuring consistent messaging and positioning across all marketing channels.
  • Create and manage marketing plans that drive revenue into Seaport’s owned businesses
  • Oversee the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing and paid media
  • Create and foster relationships with local neighborhood constituents
  • Participates in annual and quarterly planning and contributes to overall long-term vision.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, trust and continuous improvement.
  • Support and participate in research projects to identify industry trends, customer needs and competitive landscape.
  • Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Provide regular reports and insights to the executive team.
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
  • Oversee event marketing, developing an annual calendar of events & activations that connect across businesses to drive overall marketing goals and build the brands.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant marketing experience.
  • Food and beverage and/or entertainment industry experience preferred.
  • Customer focused with a strong understanding of guest experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate up and down stream.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with external agency partners.
  • A skilled leader who can inspire, leads by example and has experience managing a cross-functional team.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who can lead projects from invention to completion.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to establish priorities with little direction in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong work ethic, with the ability to work collaboratively to solve problems.
  • Experience in the industries of Food/Hospitality or Entertainment

Compensation: $190 – 230K plus benefits
