Summary/Objective:
The Player Communications & Marketing Associate (Social Media) is responsible for helping to program, produce, and develop high-quality visual and written social content for the NFL Legacy, NFL Play Football, and NFL Football Operations accounts. As such, on a daily basis, the Associate will publish posts, monitor feeds and trends, execute projects, and assist with communications as directed to ensure consistent and engaging content that supports the goals of the department, aligns with the brand guidelines of the NFL, and resonates with the expectations of our audience across all platforms. This is a position employed through a third-party agency.
Responsibilities:

Salary
$27—$30 USD

Responsibilities:
- Content Programming
- Publish and schedule posts across various platforms (Instagram, X, Facebook) using native and/or third-party publishing tools.
- Monitor social feeds and trends, identifying opportunities to create, engage with, and/or amplify content.
- Respond to comments and messages in a timely manner when appropriate.
- Use data-driven insights to inform content distribution strategy and grow reach.
- Collaborate to build and follow a content calendar that organizes and plans content distribution.
- Content Production
- Craft accurate and succinct copy that follows brand, league, and/or department voice guidelines.
- Source, curate, select, crop, and optimize photos.
- Produce template-based and original graphics.
- Edit short-form videos.
- Create polls, quizzes, and other interactive content.
- Assist in live coverage of NFL tentpoles and other key events when necessary.
- Content Development
- Contribute original content ideas and propose fresh approaches to recurring content opportunities.
- Serve as a primary point of contact with the @NFL Social team to streamline communication and identify organizational efficiencies.
- Stay current with platform-specific best practices (Instagram, X, Facebook) and implement them across all projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in social media programming, account management, or content creation, with examples and/or demo reel available upon request.
- Fluent understanding of social media platforms, their respective best practices, native and third-party publishing tools (Emplifi or similar), metrics, and back-end data/analytics.
- Proficiency in image editing, graphic design, and video editing software (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere or similar).
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Passion for the NFL, with knowledge of its rules, players, coaches, personalities, storylines, calendar, and history.
- Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Creative mindset, with a keen eye for detail.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaborative approach, including the willingness to give, receive, and incorporate feedback.
- 5% of the time (as needed to support projects).
- Full-time, in person, 40 hours per week in the New York office.
- This position is FLSA non-exempt and may require overtime as needed.
- Limited availability on weekends, evenings, and holidays when necessary.
- This job posting is for a position with one of the NFL's third-party agency partners that provides services to the NFL. The individual selected for this role will be an employee of that third-party agency and not the NFL. All compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment are handled by the agency. The assignment to provide services to the NFL will be limited in duration but may be extended for an additional period by agreement between the NFL and the agency.
