The Sinclair Video Production and Editing Assistant will support our videographer, social media coordinator and digital content specialist by assisting with the recruitment of students, staff, faculty and alumni for on-camera interviews and photo/video shoots, as well as assisting with the production of final video content for all channels. This role is vital to consistently producing high-quality video and photography assets due to the large amount of coordination that is required for shoots and editing.
The hourly pay rate for this position is $26.50 and has a maximum of 28 hours per week.

Principal Accountabilities
- Planning, scheduling, directing and executing production activities which may include:
- Scouting and booking locations both on and off campus
- Booking and follow-up communication with talent and staff
- Conducting pre-shoot interviews
- Working with College constituents to recruit on-camera talent
- Creating shoot lists
- Obtaining signed consent forms for participants
- Coordinating schedules of talent, videographer, social media coordinator, web/graphics teams and others as needed
- Assisting with pre- and post- production
- Sending assets to media contacts
- Prep for photo and video shoots by assisting with story boarding and scheduling
- Identify and select B-roll footage for use in final video
- Review video footage to pull out relevant quotes, clips and still frames for future use
- Other assigned duties to contribute to Marketing production and efficiency
- Working on-site at video/photo shoots to coordinate activities and ensure all content is captured
- Assisting with research and content development for all media
- Working with internal customers as well as vendors to define content and format needs
- Stay abreast of marketing, video, photography and editing trends to assure best practices are implemented for the highest quality results
Requirements
- Minimum of an associate’s degree in the field of marketing, video production, or related discipline required
- Candidates with an associate’s degree and relevant experience will be considered
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a video, television or commercial production related environment
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite and experience using video production equipment
- Strong understanding of video production industry and current trends required
- Working knowledge of technical software that is specific to the industry required
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Sharp business acumen required
- High regard for quality assurance required
- Strong organizational and time-management skills required
- Ability to demonstrate enthusiasm and aptitude for understanding marketing to a diverse population with a variety of mission/goals required
