Who are we hiring?
Sphere is seeking a Creative Strategist to support the creation of Sphere branded content projects related to the exterior display of Sphere (Exosphere). Under the direction of the Sr Director of Brand Strategy this position will focus on supporting Sphere’s brand strategy, which involves (among other things) developing an innovative project slate for Sphere, from conducting research and pitching content ideas to facilitating the production of projects. The ideal candidate is familiar with both traditional and new media and mediums; has strong communication and organizational skills; has a knowledge of industry standard practices; has a background in Brand and Creative Strategy and is passionate about immersive experiences and emerging technology in the entertainment industry.
What will you do?
- Support the creative strategy for Sphere, working with both internal Sphere departments as well as external advertisers and creative partners.
- Manage the development of the project slate: conduct research, as well as track, evaluate, and help develop programming from pitch to production.
- Work closely with Account Management and Sales to align with clients on their creative briefs to understand brand strategy, campaign objectives, target audience, and creative needs for Exosphere.
- Pitch content; identify concepts and projects to create and develop.
- Create and review decks, one/three-pagers, and other presentations for internal and external project review.
- Provide written project notes.
- Create weekly development reports.
- Maintain a thorough overview of the competitive landscape.
- Create, maintain, and update lists of potential creative partners.
- Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members.
What do you need to succeed?
- Bachelor's degree
- 4 or more years of relevant work experience in media and entertainment. Major production company, agency, or studio experience preferred.
- Enthusiasm for considering the unexpected, especially as it pertains to creative innovation.
- A strong affinity for collaboration in all aspects of the job with the ability to roll up your sleeves and execute in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep knowledge of a range of entertainment industries (trends, players, companies, projects), with a strong interest in new media, film, and theatre.
- Ability to see the big picture, while building roadmaps and processes to scale
- Critical thinker with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be capable of speaking to external clients and presenting decks to them.
- Extremely organized, with excellent attention to detail, thoroughness, and accuracy.
- Strong MS Office & Apple suite skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Keynote, Pages, etc.).
Pay Range
$83,000—$140,000 USD
