We are currently looking for a full-time Director of Strategy.

This role is remote, however, you will be required to work PST hours and travel throughout the year.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are looking for a visionary and results-driven Director of Strategy to lead the development of insight-led digital ecosystems and content strategies, specifically within the entertainment industry. This person is a hybrid thinker — part strategist, part technologist, part storyteller — who possesses a deep understanding of the evolving digital landscape and can translate cultural trends and audience behaviors into opportunities for cultivating, engaging, and sustaining fandom for film and episodic TV.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced creative environment, leads with curiosity and clarity, and collaborates closely with clients, creatives, and cross-functional teams. This candidate also serves as the strategic lead for new business development in the entertainment vertical.

What You'll Do

Serve as the strategic lead for new business efforts in the entertainment vertical, identifying, pursuing, and helping secure new business with major studio and streaming clients.
Lead strategy across specialized entertainment client work, including campaign planning, social media, content strategy, and digital experiences, with an emphasis on bringing marketing and fandom to life for films and episodic TV.
Develop and present strategic narratives that sell through big ideas and innovative thinking to major entertainment partners.
Provide deep audience, platform, and trend insights specialized for entertainment consumption and fan communities to inform creative thinking and direction.
Serve as the primary thought leader and subject matter expert regarding modern film and episodic content marketing, distribution, and fan engagement, both internally and with clients.
Partner with Creative Directors and Strategy teams to develop compelling, channel-specific ideas that resonate and perform.
Develop and present strategic narratives that sell through big ideas and innovative thinking.
Collaborate with data/analytics partners to develop measurement plans and optimize content based on performance.
Continuously monitors company and market performance to determine if strategies need to be adjusted or new strategies should be introduced.

Who You Are

10+ years of experience in brand, social, or content strategy at a creative agency, brand, or consultancy.
Deep understanding of digital platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Meta, etc.) and how people engage with content on each.
Proven track record of shaping smart, culturally resonant, performance-driven work.
Confident in leading client presentations and articulating a strong point of view.
Adept at using data and audience insights to inform strategy and creativity.
Experienced in working cross-functionally with creatives, producers, media teams, and clients.
A natural leader and mentor with strong communication and collaboration skills.
A demonstrable and proven track record as a strategic thinker who has conceptualized and managed high-volume digital campaigns for major film and episodic TV

Nice to Have

Experience working on entertainment, fashion, lifestyle, or culture brands.
Familiarity with tools like Sprout, Google Analytics, NetBase, Brandwatch, or similar.
Knowledge of paid media strategy or influencer ecosystems.
