Mostly Human Media (MHM) tells human-centric stories exploring technology’s impact on culture. Founded by Laurie Segall, an award-winning journalist previously at CNN and 60 Minutes, we work across mediums (digital, documentary, podcast, scripted shows) to explore the future we’re building in a nuanced way. Our social presence is a critical part of the company’s identity and you’ll play an essential role in its ongoing evolution.

MHM is looking for a strong visual storyteller who can create engaging digital content at the intersection of tech and humanity. This is a unique opportunity for a producer proficient in shooting and editing for digital platforms to create social-first content about some of the most important topics of our time - in fun, creative ways that make people think.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a go-getter who has experience with creative social content and non-fiction explanatory storytelling.

What You’ll Do:

● Pitch, execute and edit short-form content in line with MHM voice. Shoot where needed.

● Repurpose existing content (eg. MHM podcast clips) in creative ways that resonate with digital audiences.

● Collaborate with MHM creative team on execution of in-depth, longer-term series

● Manage social page - prep pieces for publication, post, stories management

● Jump in with ideas and initiative — we’re a lean team and everyone has impact.

You Are:

A strong visual storyteller who knows what works on Instagram & Tiktok

Passionate about experimenting with new AI tools

Fast and flexible, with experience cutting from new & existing material.

Highly proficient in Adobe Premiere, CapCut or similar tools.

Experienced in shooting content for social media.

Passionate about social trends, culture, and narrative-driven content

Able to quickly understand brand, voice and tone.

Curious about tech, humanity, and the internet. We don’t just cover the news. We explore what it means for today and tomorrow.

A ‘doer’ who can take feedback and work independently

Location: Must live in NYC. Remote, with availability for shoots in city & TriBeca office.

Type: Part-time contract or freelance.
