The right Multimedia Communications Specialist checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.
We are currently looking for a Multimedia Communications Specialist who is self-motivated and will drive both internal & external employee communications and training efforts for Dollywood Parks & Resorts. As an innovative storyteller, you will create content for social media campaigns, create and implement enhanced communication and training plans in collaboration with HR and Marketing teams. You will manage multiple projects for key stakeholders and maintain excellent communication throughout the project management process. The Multimedia Specialist will manage and maintain all communication and training plans in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision, operating philosophies and standards of the Dollywood Company.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.
Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging stories using video, photography, animation, and other creative mediums
- Proficient in video editing, digital photography, and graphic design
- Effectively communicate Dollywood’s brand message across various media formats
- Apply marketing strategy concepts to create internal and external assets, collateral, and campaigns
- Assist in developing content outlines, scripts, and storyboards to align with messaging strategies
- Produce dynamic and interactive training content that efficiently communicates expectations
- Operate, manage, and maintain video production equipment
- Record high-quality studio audio and video in diverse settings
- Design visual assets, including icons, branding materials, and technical diagrams, to support digital content development
- Oversee all technical aspects of video shoots, including lighting, audio, and on-camera talent positioning
- Collaborate with marketing and senior leadership to develop creative video concepts
- Capture and manage social media content for The Dollywood Company LinkedIn, including writing engaging copy and maintaining a strategic content calendar
- Work with the Talent Acquisition Team to execute hiring campaign marketing strategies
- Demonstrate strong project management skills, effectively overseeing multiple projects to successful completion
- Plan, coordinate, and execute annual internal events, managing all logistics to ensure a seamless experience for participants
- Oversee the production and maintenance of the internal handbook, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and clear communication
- Manage and update the job websites to maintain accurate, up-to-date content aligned with brand standards
- Partner with leadership to develop speeches, talking points, and presentations for internal events and announcements
- Coordinate relationships with vendors and contractors, including print vendors, to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials
- Plan and organize photo and video shoots, collaborating with internal teams and external contractors
- Create content for key events and initiatives, including Town Hall Meetings, leadership training, recognition ceremonies, internal communication websites, and Host training
- Support the planning and execution of events for other departments as needed
- Manage marketing software platforms, such as Dropbox, to ensure content remains organized and easily accessible

Education and Experience Required
- Minimum 18 years of age
- College degree or practical equivalent experience required. Degree in Human Resources, Education, Marketing, Business, Digital Media, Public Relations, or Communications preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Working knowledge of technical platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite, Avid Media Composer, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML, iMovie, Final Cut Pro, Content Management and Photography
- Experience in Theme Park, Hospitality, the Travel Industry or Entertainment Industry preferred
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Must have a valid TN Driver’s License with current automobile insurance and be able to drive company vehicles as required
- Must successfully complete a background check including motor vehicle and pre-employment drug screen
