📌 Job Summary
Golden Egg is hiring a Head of Content to lead our viral content engine from our NYC office. You’ll oversee our full creative pipeline, spot trends before they explode, coach creators to be better than they thought possible, and own the performance of TikTok and Reels content across multiple brands.
We’re not looking for a content manager. We’re looking for someone with taste.
Someone who knows when to say “this won’t hit,” and when to bet the house on a trend. Someone who doesn’t just follow the culture — they help shape it.
🎯 What You'll Do:
- Lead the entire content process for TikTok & Instagram Reels
- Review, greenlight, and give high-impact feedback on short-form video drafts
- Train creators on hook theory, structure, punchlines, and pacing
- Build and maintain a trend-tracking system with lightning-fast turnaround
- Analyze performance weekly and optimize based on real data (not vibes)
- Identify, recruit, and level up new creator talent
- Work in-person with our Gen Z team in NYC to move faster than the feed

- Have agency or creator studio experience
- Know how to edit (CapCut, Premiere, etc.) or script content that wins
- Can speak both “creative” and “performance” fluently
- Know what to kill (bad ideas) just as much as what to ship
📝 The Application Process
Here’s how it’ll go:
- Initial Screening – Send us your intro + links to content or accounts you’ve worked on.
- Short Task – You’ll complete a 1-hour screening task to showcase your taste and strategy.
- Two Interviews – One with our team, one focused on creative leadership.
- Final Task (if needed) – For top candidates, we may ask for a final real-world challenge.

💸 Compensation & Expectations
Salary Range: $85,000 – $125,000 base
- Performance bonuses based on content virality and client growth
- Optional: long-term leadership incentives for top performers

Here’s how we’re thinking about compensation tiers:
❌ Below $85K – Not Eligible
You may be great at content, but this role requires:
- Proven viral success (not just one-off wins)
- Strong editorial judgment
- Leadership experience (not just individual contribution)
✅ $85K–$100K – Baseline Fit
You’ve:
- Consistently created or led viral short-form content
- Coached creators or managed small teams/freelancers
- Given clear, tactical feedback that improves content performance
- Shown fluency in TikTok and Instagram Reels culture — at a professional level
💥 $100K–$115K – Ideal Fit
You’ve:
- Led content strategy and execution across multiple clients or brands
- Built creative systems and trend pipelines
- Reviewed content daily and helped others hit higher creative bars
- Scaled content that delivers both views and growth
🧠 $115K–$125K – Top-Tier Operator
You’ve:
- Built or scaled full content teams
- Led creators to consistent viral success — with process, not luck
- Owned performance across feeds, clients, and platforms
- Set the standard for what “great content” means in a social first company
