The KPIX Creative Services department collaborates closely with all departments at this CBS owned-and-operated station, including News, Sales, Engineering, and Production. The Creative team writes, shoots, and produces promotional content that markets News, Streaming, Sports, and Special Events across on-air, streaming, and social platforms.

Responsibilities:

The intern will assist in conceiving, writing, shooting, and producing promotional content, including both in-house and field shoots.
They will collaborate with engineering and production teams in KPIX’s virtual reality environment, supporting the creation of VR content used across stations, the network, and syndication, and gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge broadcast technology.
They will work with designers to develop on-air graphics and contribute to special design projects.

Additional Qualifications:

Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro and Photoshop; experience with After Effects and Illustrator is a bonus.
Familiarity with Unreal Engine and 3D software such as Cinema 4D, Blender, or other CGI tools is a plus.
Experience shooting with professional or semi-professional cameras is preferred but not required.

Eligibility:

Internships are available to students who will be Seniors or Master’s students in the fall of 2026. If you are a graduating Senior, please check our website for full-time job opportunities.
You must be available to intern full-time (5 days a week/36-40 hours a week) for 10 weeks total starting in June.
Interns will be required to work fully on-site for the duration of the program. Note: Paramount does not provide financial relocation support or housing stipends.
Internships are paid at a competitive standard hourly rate (school credit is optional).
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
Employment eligibility to work with Paramount in the United States is required as the company does not engage in sponsorship for internships.

The hourly rate for this position is $21.0.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
