Hulu Subscriber Finance is a highly visible team of professionals with backgrounds in consulting, investment banking, private equity, media & entertainment, and technology who serve as in-house advisers to the Disney Streaming Services’ executive leadership and own subscriber planning for Hulu SVOD and Live businesses. The team’s activities and accomplishments have contributed to the rapid growth and success of the Disney Streaming Services.

Job Summary:

Hulu’s Subscriber Finance team is seeking a strong candidate who will be an outstanding addition to our team of strategic finance professionals. In this role, you will support Hulu’s subscriber growth by assisting the team with the subscriber planning and forecasting processes for Hulu’s SVOD and Live subscription businesses, the performance reporting of Hulu subscription metrics, the preparation of presentation materials for executive leadership, the optimization of internal processes, and working cross-functionally on exciting ad-hoc analyses. The right person for this role has outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, outstanding interpersonal skills, great attention to detail, strong financial and business acumen, and excitement for the streaming industry. A successful candidate will be able to confidently navigate a constantly evolving, wide-ranging environment and seek opportunities to drive efficient processes.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Assist with Hulu’s SVOD and Live subscription forecasts by updating models for actual performance, adjusting forecasting assumptions, identifying variance drivers, and sharing outputs with Disney Streaming teams
  • Maintain our internal subscriber KPI metric database and leverage it for performance reporting of Hulu subscription metrics, ad-hoc analyses, and requests
  • Assist with the preparation of presentation materials for executive leadership

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

  • 1-2 years of finance or strategy experience and consistent track record with a world-class tech or media & entertainment firm, management consultancy or investment bank / private equity firm
  • Bachelor’s degree from a premier school with a major in Finance, Economics or similar subject area with an analytical bias; MBA from a top graduate business school (or equivalent experience) is a plus
  • Strong analytical capabilities and financial modeling skills (MS Excel), including the ability to build models from scratch
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including PowerPoint) and ability to simplify complex matters for an executive audience
  • Ability to work well in teams, both within the group and also with other business divisions
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects at the same time, while keeping management accurately advised
  • Familiarity with working in or with global, large organizations is a plus

The hiring range for this position in California is $84,600.00-$103,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
