General Intern

Company Overview:

EST Media is the parent company of EST Studios (scripted film/tv), Eastern Standard Times (publisher/unscripted) & ESTABLISHED (branded content). Founded by Jaeson Ma (Stampede Ventures, 88Rising) and Eric Tu (VICE Media, Anonymous Content), EST Media’s three branches collectively are in search of the Greatest Stories Never Told. We are looking for interns to support all three of our departments in building creative pitch decks, managing social media accounts, providing script coverage, and more.

Creative Development Intern - Job Description: 

• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: 3 months from start date (with opportunity to extend)
• Hours: 10-15 hours a week
• Remote Position (prefer NYC or LA-based but not required)
• Unpaid (can be for school credit but not required)
• Open to college students, graduate students, and newly grads 

Responsibilities:

• Curate ideas and develop pitch decks
• Assist with research projects
• Read incoming film/TV IP and provide thoughtful coverage, reviews, and feedback for the team (written and verbal)
• Produce social media content and manage content calendar
• Closely monitor industry trends and competitive dynamics 

What we are looking for:

• A passion for entertainment and media whether that be film/TV, publishing, and/or branded content.
• A voracious appetite for Asian culture and storytelling.
• An ability to think critically about content and articulate those thoughts succinctly and effectively.
• Strong organization, writing, and communication skills.
• A self-starter who can proactively contribute and work collaboratively.
• The candidate must be a team player, self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and able to work in a demanding environment.
• Must also possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Skills/Software:

• Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, Adobe, Canva
