About the Role
As a Senior Editor, you’ll be responsible for managing 3-4 shows or writers at any given time, ensuring the highest standards of narrative quality, retention, and user engagement. You’ll partner closely with UGC writers, guide story development, and intervene when retention metrics signal a need for content refinement. You will also play a key role in scouting top-tier writing talent to enrich our platform’s storytelling ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and mentor a roster of 3-4 shows or writers concurrently, overseeing the full content lifecycle.
Scout and onboard high-quality writers from outside the platform, tapping into your industry network.
Build strong relationships with UGC writers through regular check-ins, feedback loops, and problem-solving sessions.
Review and edit submissions, providing actionable, story-driven feedback to ensure content is ready for A/B testing and publishing.
Analyze retention metrics, identify drop-off points, and collaborate with writers to revise chapters and boost audience stickiness.
Translate macro-level story plans from the Content Lead (CL) into detailed, episode-level outlines.
Step in as a creative partner to drive improvements in pacing, character arcs, and genre-specific storytelling techniques.
About You
3-5 years of experience editing or producing long-form content series (web novels, podcasts, serialized fiction, OTT writing rooms).
Exceptional narrative judgment with a strong ability to improve story structure, pacing, and audience engagement.
Proven experience nurturing creative talent — both in-house and freelance/UGC ecosystems.
Strong industry connections within the content, publishing, or entertainment sectors.
Data-informed mindset with a willingness to adapt stories based on retention and performance insights.
Bonus: Sales or business development experience (preferred but not required).
