Brand and Lifecycle Marketing Manager

BaseballismPortland, ORPosted

Job Description

About Baseballism

Baseballism is the original premium baseball lifestyle brand — built for ballplayers and worn by all who love the game. Founded in 2006 by four former college teammates, we've grown from a garage in Portland into baseball's official lifestyle brand. We operate across DTC, 10 retail locations, and a growing ambassador network. Everything we do is rooted in a deep love for the game and the culture around it.

About the Role

We're looking for a sharp, detail-obsessed Brand & Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own our brand voice and lifecycle marketing across every channel. This role sits at the intersection of copy, email, SMS, web, and paid media — and the right person will be someone who thinks creatively, executes precisely, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.

You'll work directly with the Director of Marketing and be embedded in every release — from writing copy for new drops to building landing pages to executing Meta campaigns. This is a role for someone who takes ownership, communicates well with their team, brings energy to the work, and holds themselves to a high standard without being asked to.

What You'll Own

Brand Copy & Voice

• Own and manage all brand copy across every customer-facing touchpoint — email, SMS, web, ads, product descriptions, and partner communications

• Serve as the brand voice guardian — every word that goes out sounds like Baseballism

• Collaborate closely with the marketing team on copy for every collection drop, sale, and campaign

• Work with partners, collaborations, and affiliates on approved messaging and copy

• Stay current on baseball culture, trends, and conversations happening in the space

• Bring proactive ideas and fresh creative angles to every release

Email & SMS Marketing

• Own and execute all email and SMS campaigns — collection drops, sales, seasonal sends, and lower-priority communications

• Build, manage, and continuously improve automated email and SMS flows with a focus on segmentation, personalization, and conversion

• Develop more sophisticated segmentation strategies over time to drive relevance and revenue

• Monitor performance and optimize subject lines, copy, send timing, and flow logic

• Work with the content team to source and organize assets needed for all email and SMS deliverables

Web & Shopify

• Build and maintain professional-quality landing pages on Shopify — collection pages, product pages, blog posts, campaign pages, and seasonal drops

• Own all website copy and ensure every release is represented compellingly on the site

• Have a strong eye for design and layout — no coding required, but you should be able to build pages that look polished and on-brand

• Ensure the site is always accurate and aligned with what is live across all marketing channels

• Be available for occasional after-hours website updates when releases require it — this role operates within standard 40-hour expectations with flexibility around key launch moments

Meta Ads

• Execute Meta ad campaigns across all collections, sales, and ongoing evergreen campaigns with direction from the Director of Marketing

• Write ad copy, set up campaigns, manage ad sets, and monitor performance

• Understand funnel logic and how copy, creative, and targeting work together to drive results

• Flag performance observations and bring optimization suggestions to the Director of Marketing

Who You Are

• Obsessively detail-oriented — you hold yourself to a high standard and take pride in getting everything right

• Highly organized and self-sufficient — you manage your own workload, hit deadlines, and don't need to be micromanaged

• A strong writer with a natural feel for brand voice — you can write copy across formats that sounds authentic and fits the brand effortlessly

• A genuine collaborator — you communicate openly, work well with others, and make the team better

• An idea person — you bring creative angles, proactive suggestions, and real enthusiasm to every release

• Trend-aware — you stay current on what's happening in baseball culture, social media, and the broader lifestyle and DTC space

• A baseball fan or someone with a genuine appreciation for the game and its culture

• A positive team member who contributes energy and takes ownership of their work

• Experienced building and executing email and SMS campaigns and flows at a meaningful level

• Comfortable in a fast-moving environment where releases happen frequently and priorities shift
