Role Overview
The Brand Lead is the strategic and operational owner of a portfolio of brand partnerships at Puff Media. This role drives brand communication, growth strategy, and go-to-market execution across TikTok Shop and live commerce, while managing and developing a high-performing team.
As the primary senior-facing point of contact for brand partners, the Brand Lead is accountable for overall performance, team execution, and operational excellence across all social commerce initiatives. This role may be leveled at Manager, Senior Manager, or Director based on experience and scope.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Partnership Ownership
- Own a portfolio of brand partnerships as the primary point of contact
- Set communication cadence and lead weekly or biweekly syncs
- Manage stakeholder expectations with clear, proactive, and confident communication
Growth Strategy and GTM Execution
- Develop and execute multi-quarter TikTok Shop growth strategies spanning assortment, promotions, affiliate programs, livestreams, and paid media
- Lead GTM planning for product launches, tentpole moments, and major campaigns
- Continuously identify new growth opportunities and expansion levers across platforms
Performance Management
- Monitor and optimize key KPIs across GMV, traffic, and conversion
- Use data to inform decisions and refine strategy in real time
- Deliver weekly and monthly reporting with clear insights, strategic recommendations, and action plans
- Present executive-ready updates that translate data into decisions
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with internal teams across creator, live, operations, finance, and leadership to drive results and remove blockers
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop team members
- Set priorities, clarify ownership, and ensure high execution standards
- Build scalable processes that reduce overhead and enable team efficiency
Platform and Market Expertise
- Stay ahead of TikTok Shop trends, algorithm updates, and emerging best practices
- Apply platform insights to inform strategy, experimentation, and optimization
Qualifications
- 3 or more years of experience in social commerce, e-commerce, or brand management with hands-on platform experience (TikTok Shop experience is a strong plus)
- Agency, platform, or brand background with experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder client relationships
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills with a proven ability to communicate at the executive level
- Experience with affiliate marketing, creator partnerships, and TAP (TikTok Affiliate Program) campaigns is a strong advantage
- Highly data-driven, with experience in forecasting, KPI diagnosis, and performance analysis
- Strong program and team leadership capabilities with the ability to manage multiple brands and workstreams simultaneously
- Excellent organizational and project management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Operates with urgency, accountability, and a solutions-oriented mindset
- Thrives in ambiguity and adapts quickly to platform, market, and business changes
Compensation
$65,000 to $85,000 annually, based on experience
Location
- Brooklyn, NY (on-site preferred)
