About Us:

Our client is a leading entertainment firm and we are looking for a Director of A&F that will oversee financial operations for one of the company’s operating divisions, covering accounting, FP&A, tax, and treasury/operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own divisional accounting and financial operations, including monthly/quarterly/annual close, commission calculations, tax coordination, and treasury management.
  • Oversee AP, AR, payroll, and expense processes in coordination with a shared‑services function.
  • Prepare and review GAAP financial statements, variance analyses, and management reporting packages for division leadership.
  • Coordinate audit and tax support with corporate finance and external advisors; provide schedules and responses to inquiries.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process and update rolling financial forecasts to align with strategic objectives.
  • Partner with business leaders to analyze revenue, margins, and client profitability; deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Manage divisional cash‑flow planning to ensure operational liquidity and optimal working capital.
  • Act as the primary finance liaison to the corporate finance team on reporting, systems, and controls.
  • Help standardize accounting policies and procedures while accommodating the creative and operational needs of the business.
  • Support selection, implementation, and adoption of deal‑booking systems and other industry‑specific tools.
  • Support NetSuite ERP configuration, reporting, and integrations as part of the broader platform strategy.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls to protect assets and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Support divisional HR/ops processes such as onboarding, vendor contracting, and producer budget oversight to ensure adherence to forecasts.
  • Provide financial input for contract negotiations, collections strategy, and business development opportunities.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience; background in professional services, media, talent management, sports, or agency settings strongly preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
  • Experience in a private‑equity‑backed or high‑growth environment is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to translate financial data into business insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across finance and business partners.
  • Advanced Excel skills and hands‑on experience with NetSuite preferred.
