Job Description
Pocket FM is the world’s largest audio-series platform, where powerful stories travel effortlessly across languages, cultures, and continents. From India and the US to Europe and beyond, we are redefining how stories are created, discovered, and experienced across the globe, without screens.
At our core, we are an AI-powered entertainment company with a deeply human-first philosophy. We believe technology should amplify creativity. Our proprietary AI systems work alongside writers, voice artists, and creative teams to help stories scale globally, faster, smarter, and with cultural depth and emotional integrity intact.
Today, Pocket FM is home to a vibrant community of 250+ million listeners, 300,000+ creators, and 100,000+ audio series. With over 140 billion minutes streamed annually, we have emerged as one of the fastest-growing media-tech companies in the world, and we are just getting started. We operate at a massive global scale, but with a startup mindset: curious, fast-moving, and deeply owner-driven. At Pocket FM, teams are encouraged to think boldly, move with intent, and build for long-term impact as we shape the future of audio-first storytelling worldwide.
About the Role
This role will define how we earn relevance with consumers in one of the world's most competitive entertainment landscapes. As the Product Marketing lead, you'll shape the stories we tell, the audiences we prioritize, and the way new products, features, and content experiences come to market. You'll work closely with Product, Growth, Data Science, and Brand to ensure what we build is not only valuable, but understood, desired, and adopted by the right users.
This is a role for someone who is equally comfortable influencing product decisions, challenging assumptions with customer and market insights, and building go-to-market strategies that create lasting competitive advantage, not just successful launches.
What You'll Do
- Define how we take new products, features, and content experiences to market in the US- from identifying the opportunity to shaping the narrative and driving adoption
- Build positioning that cuts through a crowded entertainment landscape and gives consumers a compelling reason to choose us over everything else competing for their attention
- Work shoulder-to-shoulder with Product, Data Science, and Growth to turn customer insights and product decisions into marketing strategies that move business metrics, not just awareness
- Develop a deep understanding of the US entertainment, creator, and audio ecosystem. Know what consumers care about, where the market is headed, and where we can create our own category instead of following others
- Lead market and competitive intelligence that influences not only marketing plans but product priorities and long-term business bets
- Create repeatable GTM playbooks that bring together paid, lifecycle, organic, partnerships, and creator ecosystems into one coordinated launch strategy
- Partner with Brand and Communications to ensure every launch tells a consistent story, whether it's on the App Store, in a performance ad, through creators, or in the press
- Define what success looks like before launch, establish the right leading and lagging indicators, and continuously refine strategy based on customer behavior and business outcomes
- Be the strongest advocate for the US consumer in the room, ensuring products and messaging reflect cultural nuance instead of simple localization
- Act as a strategic partner to founders and senior leadership, bringing a clear point of view on market positioning, competitive moves, and where we should play next
What We're Looking For
- 8 to 10 years of Product Marketing experience, with a significant portion spent building and scaling consumer internet products
- A track record of owning high-stakes launches that delivered measurable business impact, from adoption and engagement to retention and revenue
- Someone who naturally starts with the customer, but is equally comfortable debating product strategy, pricing, distribution, and business trade-offs with Product and leadership teams
- Exceptional messaging instincts. You know how to turn complex product thinking into simple, memorable stories that customers immediately understand
- Experience working closely with Product, Analytics, and Growth teams in environments where decisions are driven by experimentation and data, not hierarchy
- Comfortable operating without a playbook. You enjoy building new functions, creating structure where none exists, and making informed decisions with imperfect information
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence across Product, Marketing, Content, and Leadership without relying on formal authority
- Strong judgment and a bias toward action. You move quickly, challenge assumptions, and raise the quality bar for the teams around you
