We are looking to add an Editor to our team in Chicago. This position will support live and digital production for financial news programming at a client site and will report to the Post Production Supervisor. The role is ideal for a highly collaborative, detail-oriented editor with a strong interest in live production, business news, and digital content creation.
Primary responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Edit and produce video and audio content using Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Audition, and Photoshop
- Create high-quality, engaging video content incorporating text, graphics, animation, and other visual elements
- Produce and optimize content for digital and social platforms including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and X
- Collaborate with producers to prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and execute editorial vision
- Gather and manage production elements including video, photos, audio, and music assets
- Develop, pitch, and execute original social and digital video concepts
- Support podcast production by creating audio clips and social media assets
- Produce high-end sizzle reels and promotional content
- Conduct quality control on all produced content to ensure editorial and technical standards are met
- Organize and maintain media assets and contribute to building internal video libraries
- Ensure content is optimized and localized for target audiences and distribution platforms
Requirements:
- 3–4+ years of experience in video editing and digital content production
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop)
- Demonstrated experience creating short-form and long-form content for digital and social platforms
- Experience producing vertical video and platform-specific content
- Understanding of live production environments and workflows
- Strong editorial judgment and a passion for news, markets, and current events
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
