Entertainment & Licensing Paralegal

MGA EntertainmentLos Angeles, CAPosted

Job Description

Are you a seasoned paralegal who thrives at the intersection of entertainment, licensing, and brand collaboration? We're looking for an experienced Entertainment and Licensing Paralegal to join our Legal team and play a central role in how we bring creative partnerships to life — from deal memo to signature.

In this role, you'll work directly with our VP, Legal & Business Affairs, our General Counsel, and the broader Legal and Licensing team to manage the full lifecycle of our entertainment, in-licensing, and marketing agreements. If you're highly organized, love owning process, and want real ownership over a fast-moving contracts pipeline, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Licensing (40%)

  • Support the VP, Legal & Business Affairs and licensing business team on the review, drafting, negotiation, and execution of in-licensing agreements, amendments, renewals, and artist collaborations
  • Own and maintain a detailed tracker for all in-licensing deal negotiations, extensions, renewals, and expirations
  • Request and distribute customs letters and trademark authorization letters for each in-licensing deal

Entertainment (20%)

  • Draft, review, and manage the signature process for entertainment agreements, including content distribution, production services, talent, and rights agreements

Marketing & Social Media (20%)

  • Draft, review, and oversee execution of marketing agreements, social media vendor agreements, creator agreements, and related contracts

Generalist & General Counsel Support (20%)

  • Provide paralegal and administrative support to the General Counsel, including research, correspondence, document organization, and corporate record-keeping
  • Take on additional transactional and administrative support as a key member of a lean, busy team handling a wide range of multinational legal matters

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of experience as a paralegal, with entertainment and/or licensing experience gained in-house or at a law firm
  • Paralegal certification
  • 4-year college degree preferred
  • Proven ability to manage multiple ongoing matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • A highly organized, flexible, multi-tasking mindset
  • A motivated self-starter who works well independently and exercises sound judgment
  • Professionalism and discretion, with the ability to maintain confidentiality

Why Join Us

This is an opportunity to be a trusted, hands-on partner to our Legal leadership and a key player in shaping how our entertainment and licensing deals get done — with visibility across the business and real ownership of process and outcomes.
