Overview

Led by founding partners Arianne Fraser and Delphine Perrier, Highland Film Group (HFG) is an independent worldwide sales, film financing, production and distribution company. Launched in 2010, HFG has had success across a wide range of film genres and platforms, building a reputation for handling high-octane films in the action/thriller/horror space, focusing on cast, director, and filmmaker-driven content.

The Highland Film Group Department

As an international sales marketing team, they manage the creative output for an extensive annual catalog of 20-plus films, specializing in crafting a diverse range of promotional materials to support our global sales and distribution clients. Our services cover the entire spectrum of film marketing, from pre-sale sales to theatrical releases, home entertainment, and SVOD premieres. Our department is under the seasoned leadership of an international marketing executive with extensive expertise in creating polished and commercially successful campaigns designed to captivate a worldwide audience.

The Role

As a Global Film Sales Marketing Intern, you'll gain hands-on exposure to the inner workings of international marketing and distribution — with some exposure to domestic efforts as well — within a dynamic film distribution environment. Guided by an experienced team, you'll be introduced to the marketing aspects of our films, including synopses, trailers, posters, marketing decks, and social assets across international and domestic campaigns, while collaborating closely with departments across the studio, including international acquisitions and sales agents, domestic distribution, and the Finance and Legal teams. You'll also play a role in coordinating and participating in events such as virtual film markets and premieres.

We're looking for someone eager to learn and unafraid to ask questions along the way. You'll approach your work creatively, with close attention to detail, adaptability, and a strong sense of confidentiality given the sensitive nature of unreleased titles and deals. Strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work semi-independently will serve you well here.

This internship is a unique opportunity to gain practical knowledge of the international marketing and distribution landscape — with some exposure to domestic efforts as well — and a meaningful steppingstone toward a career in the film industry, with mentorship from our team along the way.
