Location: North Hollywood, CA (On-Site)

The Roles:

Legion Management is looking for highly motivated, organized, and enthusiastic individuals, who are interested in learning more about the marketing, A&R, publishing and creative branding aspects of the music industry. This internship will allow students to gain first-hand experience in a variety of areas, including but not limited to; A&R, publishing, studio recording, event planning, release planning and more.

Areas that you will be learning about:

  • Interns are responsible for researching new artists through a variety of means, e.g., shows, radio play, blogs, charts, demos, word-of-mouth, etc.
  • Coordinate detailed weekly A&R research reports and other scouting projects
  • Monitor and report on various charts domestically and internationally
  • Complete various tasks for the A&R, Creative, and Marketing departments including tracking album status charts, transcribing and reviewing lyrics, reviewing clean audio, brainstorming rollouts, managing social pages, and more.
  • Assist and participate in the coordination of record production. Work with mixing and mastering engineers, studio managers, and artists throughout the process
  • Cover studio sessions
  • Assist with all other day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure artist projects are complete and submitted on time
  • Product Management for releases

Qualifications:

  • Must be a current student, enrolled in a Bachelor’s/Master’s program at an accredited college or university
  • Must be eligible to receive academic credit from their college or university for the duration of the internship
  • Interest in pursuing a career in artists and repertoire (A&R), artist management, and marketing.
  • Prospective interns must LOVE listening to indie and unsigned artists
  • Skills must include basic Microsoft Office and Internet research
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, writing and organizational skills required
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Must be proactive, detailed oriented, and possess good follow-through while adhering to deadlines. Strong organizational skills are preferred
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize tasks sufficiently while working independently. Candidates must be reliable and have good time management skills
  • Candidates must have experience handling confidential information
  • Experience as a songwriter, performer, producer, engineer, etc is a plus

This internship is available for the Spring 2026. This is a non-paid internship, with flexible hours (minimum of 16 hours per week) to reflect your necessary college credit requirements.
