Job Description
Devil May Care Media is hiring a Producer for “Next Up with Mark Halperin”. The Producer will help plan, develop, and manage daily show rundowns, including contributing to the creation of compelling scripts, soundbites, graphics, videos, social media posts, generating segment ideas, and guest bookings. This role involves research, writing, and preparing show materials, as well as collaborating with the Host, Executive Producer, editors, and technical staff to ensure a smooth production process. The Producer will help oversee pre-production and post-production workflows, track deadlines, monitor breaking news, pitch timely segments, coordinate logistics with guests and support live and recorded programming. The Producer will report to the Executive Producer. This is a remote position, and can be located anywhere in the United States.
Responsibilities
-Cut video and sound bites
-Make graphics
-Create social media posts on all major platforms
-Book guests
-Write show scripts
-Run show teleprompter
-Write show descriptions
-Conduct research
-Other duties as assigned
-May require working evenings, nights, and early mornings
-This role reports to the Executive Producer of the show
Qualifications
-Must have editing experience
-Must have strong communication and writing skills
-Must have social media experience
-At least 3 years working for a major national broadcast, cable, digital, or podcast network
-Interest in news, politics, culture, and current events
