Oregon Ducks Short-Form Video Host / 5-Minute Show Host

Locked On Podcast Network

Do you love the Oregon Ducks, live and breathe Oregon football and athletics, and know how to create content that makes fans stop scrolling? This is your opportunity to help build a new kind of daily Oregon-specific content channel with the #1 Sports Podcast Network.

The Locked On Podcast Network is creating a new Oregon Ducks content channel built for modern college sports fans across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, X, YouTube, and audio platforms. We are looking for a dynamic, entertaining, credible host who can deliver smart, fast-moving Oregon content every day — both short-form vertical video and quick daily episodes.

This role is designed for a modern sports content creator: someone who understands Oregon, knows how Ducks fans talk, can deliver strong takes with personality, and has the on-camera presence to make people stop scrolling.

How to Apply — Required for Consideration

To be considered for this position, candidates must apply by emailing video demos to both:

Zac Blackerby: [email protected]
Tom Lee: [email protected]

Your application must include video demos that show your ability to create Oregon Ducks content for modern social platforms.

Please include:

  • One highly produced short-form video that includes images, transitions, captions, and anything else that shows your ability to edit and produce short-form content.

  • One short-form video using a green screen effect, with you reacting to a major tweet, list, post, article, ranking, rumor, breaking-news item, or Oregon topic.

  • Any additional links or information that show your ability to create compelling short-form content about the Oregon Ducks.

Applications that do not include video examples may not be considered.

About the Role

This is a high-volume, daily content position built around the Oregon Ducks.

The host will create Oregon-specific content every day across short-form vertical video, YouTube, and audio. We are looking for someone who can react quickly, explain why stories matter, deliver strong opinions, and create content that feels current, credible, entertaining, and built for the way fans consume sports today.

Key Responsibilities

  • Host and produce four short-form videos per day, approximately 90 seconds to two minutes each, built specifically for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.
  • Deliver fast, sharp, engaging Oregon-specific takes designed for the vertical-video scroll.
  • Host and produce two 5- to 6-minute episodes per day for YouTube and audio distribution with clear structure, strong pacing, and fan-focused insight.
  • React quickly to Oregon’s biggest stories of the day with energy, credibility, preparation, and personality.
  • Cover major Oregon topics, including football, recruiting, roster moves, injuries, the transfer portal, coaching decisions, Big Ten storylines, College Football Playoff discussion, rivalry games, national narratives, and major Ducks athletics news.
  • Help build and grow an engaged Oregon community across social, video, and audio platforms.
  • Create content that is informative, entertaining, opinionated, and built for daily fan engagement.
  • Take ownership of the full content workflow, including recording, editing, producing, posting, and promoting content consistently across platforms.

Content Formats

Short-Form Vertical Video

The short-form content will be built for the modern social feed: fast in, fast out, one sharp take, clear energy, and a strong hook.

Volume: 4 per day
Length: Approximately 90 seconds to 2 minutes each
Platforms: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Facebook

The 5-Minute Show

The 5-Minute Show will give Oregon fans a quick, reliable, twice-a-day destination for smart team-focused analysis.

Volume: 2 per day
Length: Approximately 5 to 6 minutes each
Platforms: YouTube and audio via its own RSS feed

Qualifications

  • Elite knowledge of the Oregon Ducks.
  • Ability to connect authentically with Oregon fans.
  • Ability to edit and produce high-quality video.
  • Access to and experience with video editing tools.
  • Solid understanding of how TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, X, and YouTube operate.
  • Experience creating short-form video content.
  • Audio equipment and editing software to record and produce an audio podcast.
  • Ability to deliver strong opinions with credibility, preparation, and personality.
  • Reliability and consistency to produce a high-volume daily content schedule.
  • Strong understanding of Oregon football, recruiting, the transfer portal, the Big Ten, major rivalries, and the year-round conversation around the Ducks.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal host is part analyst, part entertainer, and part influencer. You understand Oregon, but you also understand how fans consume content today. You can make a strong point quickly, speak with confidence, bring personality to the screen, and create content that feels current, authentic, and built for the platforms where fans are already spending their time.

You do not need to sound like a traditional broadcaster. We are looking for someone who can become a trusted daily voice for Oregon fans by being smart, prepared, energetic, relatable, and highly watchable.

The right candidate should understand what makes Oregon fans passionate: the speed, the innovation, Autzen Stadium, the uniforms, recruiting battles, the move into the Big Ten, College Football Playoff expectations, the Washington rivalry, the Oregon State rivalry, national media attention, and the year-round intensity of being a Ducks fan.

We want someone who can combine real college football knowledge with modern content instincts. You should be able to react quickly, explain why a story matters, give fans a clear point of view, and create content that feels connected to the daily conversation around Oregon athletics.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who can make Oregon fans want to watch every day.

That means the host should be:

  • Credible enough to explain the team.
  • Entertaining enough to keep fans engaged.
  • Fast enough to react to breaking news and daily conversation.
  • Opinionated enough to stand out.
  • Prepared enough to earn trust.
  • Skilled enough to create polished short-form video.
  • Connected enough to understand the Oregon fan base.

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
