Partnerships Intern

BIGOLos Angeles, CAPosted

Job Description

About this Role:

BIGO LIVE's US Partnerships team builds the relationships that bring new audiences, credibility, and cultural relevance to the platform — from talent and influencer partnerships to live events and brand activations across the US market.

As a Partnerships Intern, you will sit at the center of that work: sourcing and researching potential partners, supporting outreach and follow-up, building the decks and one-pagers we put in front of talent and their teams, and tracking what each partnership actually delivered. This is a hands-on role with real ownership — you will be in the room for partner calls and on-site at activations, not watching from the sidelines.

  1. Contract Type: 3 months OR length of school semester/quarter corresponding to earning college credit
  2. Schedule: 4 days/week in office @ Century City office. Occasional evening or weekend hours during events and activations.

What You'll Do:

Partner Research & Pipeline Building

  • Build and maintain prospect lists of creators, influencers, talent managers, agencies, venues, and brand partners relevant to BIGO LIVE's US audience.
  • Source and verify contact information, audience data, and past brand collaborations to qualify partners before outreach.
  • Keep the partnership pipeline and tracker accurate and current — status, owner, next step, and key dates for every opportunity.
  • Research the competitive and cultural landscape: who competing platforms are partnering with, which creators and communities are rising, and where BIGO LIVE has an opening.

Outreach & Partner Coordination

  • Draft partner-facing outreach — first-touch emails, DMs, and follow-ups — in BIGO's voice, and own the call scheduling process end to end.
  • Support day-to-day communication with partners and their representatives, keeping response times fast and every commitment tracked.
  • Take clear notes in partner calls and internal meetings, then convert them into action items, recaps, and follow-ups.

Events & Activations Support

  • Support the planning and execution of BIGO LIVE events and brand activations — guest and talent lists, and logistics.
  • Provide on-site support during activations: talent check-in, content capture, and real-time problem solving.

Materials & Reporting

  • Build partner-facing materials: pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, and post-campaign recaps that make the BIGO LIVE opportunity clear and compelling.
  • Assist in the brainstorming, creation, and proofing of partnership deliverables including video, stills, and banners that resonate with the BIGO brand.

Qualifications:

  • Junior/Senior year student enrolled in a college and pursuing a major in marketing, communications, business, entertainment/media management, or other relevant studies.
  • Strong written communication — you can write an outreach email or a deck headline that someone actually wants to respond to.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; comfortable owning trackers, timelines, and follow-ups without being chased.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with working proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides.
  • Well versed in creator culture, live streaming, pop culture, and entertainment — you know who is interesting right now and can explain why.
  • Familiarity with major social and creator platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, X, Facebook).
  • Comfortable representing BIGO LIVE professionally with external partners, talent, and their representatives.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Available for occasional evening/weekend event support in the Los Angeles area.

Nice to Have:

  • Prior internship or experience in talent management, influencer marketing, events, brand partnerships, or entertainment.
  • Photography, video editing, or graphic design skills.

What You'll Get:

  • Direct exposure to how partnerships are sourced, pitched, negotiated, and measured at a global platform with 400M+ users.
  • Real ownership of a workstream — your research and materials go in front of partners, not into a folder.
  • Mentorship from the US Partnerships team and cross-functional exposure to Marketing, Content, Account Management, and Business Intelligence.
  • Eligible for college credit where your school program allows.
