Product Marketing Manager

SmallrigLos Angeles Metropolitan AreaPosted

Job Description

Mad Minds is recruiting on behalf of Smallrig, a global company that designs and builds hardware accessories for cameras, gimbals, smartphones, and lighting setups.

Smallrig is growing our North America presence and looking for a Product Marketing Manager to lead business development for our iPhone and mobile filmmaking accessories line. You'll be the face of Smallrig to key partners in the mobile imaging and consumer electronics space — building new relationships, growing existing ones, and bringing real market feedback back to our product team.

This is a high-visibility role for someone who knows the mobile imaging/accessory world, has real industry connections, and wants to shape product direction — not just sell what already exists.

What You'll Do

•      Build and manage relationships with key partners and stakeholders in the mobile imaging and consumer electronics industry

•      Identify and pursue new business development opportunities for our iPhone accessory line

•      Gather first-hand feedback on device trends, accessory needs, and market gaps from partners and industry contacts

•      Track industry trends and flagship product cycles to help guide what we build next

•      Translate what you're hearing in the field into clear, actionable input for our product and R&D teams in China

•      Represent Smallrig professionally at meetings, events, and partner check-ins

What We're Looking For

•      5+ years of experience in consumer electronics, mobile imaging, or camera/photo accessories — business development, partnerships, or product marketing background

•      Existing network and relationships within the mobile imaging or consumer electronics industry

•      Comfortable working cross-culturally and cross-functionally with a China-based product team

•      Strong communicator who can turn scattered feedback into clear, useful recommendations

•      Self-starter who's excited to own relationships end-to-end, from first contact to long-term partnership

Nice to Have

•      Mandarin fluency is a plus (not required)

•      Prior experience working with or around Apple's ecosystem, accessory programs, or supplier processes

•      A strong personal network in the LA-based imaging, content creation, or consumer tech scene
