NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA) is seeking a talented Program Coordination Intern to join the team and assist with planning, promoting, and executing our LA County Highschool Program. This position starts at 16 hours a week starting in late May and ending in August/September, with the option for additional hours and/or to extend terms if desired.
Qualifications
The candidate should be/have:
- An effective communicator, well organized, flexible, positive and enthusiastic with an interest or passion in producing education-focused programming;
- Proactive and able to work both independently and collaboratively on various projects;
- Effective inter/intrapersonal communication skills;
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with event websites and software, Microsoft Office, and Mac operating systems are recommended
- Reliable transportation strongly preferred as some days
- Experience in social media software (Instagram, LinkedIn, Hootsuite, etc.) and graphic design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Affinity, etc.) is a plus, but not mandatory
- Available in-person for ALL our monthly Festivals and filmmaker interviews for the duration of their internship. You can find all our upcoming events here.
This is an unpaid position with the option for academic credit.
