Rescue Media is a full-service video production and live streaming studio based in Alexandria, VA. We produce high-end branded films, executive interviews, conference coverage, and live broadcasts for national associations, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations.

Position Overview

We are seeking a strong operator first — someone capable of executing at a high level immediately.

This role will begin fully in-person in our Alexandria studio. As trust, communication, and workflow consistency are established, there will be opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule.

Post-production will be the primary responsibility. However, Rescue Media operates as an interdisciplinary production team. Every team member understands the full production lifecycle and contributes where needed — both in studio and in the field.

We are building for growth. The right candidate will not only handle today’s workload, but will demonstrate the maturity, initiative, and leadership instincts to grow into a strategic role as the company expands.

This is not a bureaucratic 9–5 environment. We value accountability, composure, and output — not clock-watching.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead post-production on branded films, executive interviews, and event-based content
• Craft compelling narrative structure from long-form footage
• Execute professional-level color correction, sound design, and finishing
• Design and integrate motion graphics using Adobe Creative Suite
• Maintain rigorous project organization and archival standards
• Communicate directly with clients regarding edits and revisions
• Manage multiple deadlines with consistency and calm
• Support studio and field production as needed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional editing experience in high-accountability production environments
• Advanced proficiency across Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong storytelling instincts and pacing
• High-level audio and color finishing skills
• Experience handling direct client communication professionally
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently without micromanagement
• Composed, mature, and solution-oriented under pressure
• Exceptional organizational discipline

Preferred

• Multi-camera and live event editing experience
• Experience improving or building post-production workflows
• On-set production experience (camera, audio, lighting, media management)
• Familiarity with emerging AI-assisted editing tools

Compensation & Engagement Structure

This role will begin as a 1099 independent contractor engagement with full-time workload expectations.

Upon demonstrated mutual fit and performance, there is opportunity to transition to a W2 employee structure if desired by both parties.

Schedule

Primarily weekday hours. Flexibility is required during active production cycles and when traveling to support live events or field productions.
