What You'll Do:
- Work closely with the Lead Set Designer, director, producers, and other stakeholders to ensure set designs meet creative goals and practical needs
- Create and design broadcast studio sets and branded environments
- Occasionally perform food styling duties, including sourcing, cooking, and setting up food props
- Develop mood boards, concepts, and sketches to visualize and guide set designs
- Source, coordinate, and manage vendors needed for creative ideas and finishing touches such as colors and textures
- Select finish materials, colors, and textures, including gathering samples as needed
- Partner with directors and producers to plan set designs that support production needs
- Collaborate across departments to get designs approved and realized
- Join creative team meetings and brainstorming sessions to kick off projects
- Use your design skills to drive scenic projects from start to successful finish
- Creative flair and practical skills in set design
- Strong problem-solving abilities, especially with technical challenges and integrating designs with live-streaming technology
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working both independently and in teams
- Precision in delivering polished, high-quality set designs
- Experience thriving in fast-paced, deadline-driven work environments
- 1-3 years of professional experience in broadcast set or scenic fabrication
- Degree in interior design, set design, or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of finish materials and color theory
- Willingness to travel for offsite projects as needed
