About the Role:

We're looking to add a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to our team. If you're passionate about numbers, accounting systems, and working in a fast-paced creative environment, we’d love to meet you! The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the day-to-day accounting functions.

This position requires strong experience with QuickBooks Online and Google Sheets, as well as a solid understanding of accounting principles and processes in an advertising agency setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and payroll processing.

Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Reconcile bank and credit card statements, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.

Utilize QuickBooks online to manage client billing, project tracking, and financial reporting.

Prepare and process client invoices, track payment statuses, and assist with collections as needed.

Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure accurate project costing and budget management.

Assist with the preparation of financial reports for management and stakeholders.

Support the monthly and year-end close process.

Handle general ledger entries and journal entries.

Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and tax regulations.

Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting projects as needed.

Qualifications:

3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within an advertising or creative services environment.

Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Google Sheets

Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

High level of attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and work under tight deadlines.

Team-oriented with a collaborative attitude.

Must be able to work in-office at our El Segundo location.
