Job Description
Be the founder's force multiplier and the connective tissue across an investment platform, a venture studio, and the family enterprise — owning the follow-through so nothing falls through the cracks.
About the role:
This is a true right-hand role working directly alongside a founder-investor whose world spans three domains at once: an investment management platform, a venture studio that builds and backs early-stage companies, and a set of personal and family interests. The portfolio is intentionally broad — public-markets investing, AI-native software companies, consumer and wellness ventures, and the family and holding structures beneath them. The mandate is simple to state and hard to do: make sure nothing falls through the cracks, and make the founder dramatically more effective. It suits someone who is genuinely a generalist, ferociously organized, and energized rather than overwhelmed by context-switching.
What you'll do:
- Act as the founder's primary leverage — triage priorities, prep him for what's next, and own the follow-through so commitments actually close out.
- Quarterback workstreams across the full portfolio — the investment platform, the venture studio and its operating companies, and personal and family entities — and keep them from colliding.
- Coordinate the recurring financial, operational, compliance and reporting cadences, and manage the outside legal, tax, audit, administration and advisory providers who support them.
- Support the venture and studio side: help incubated companies with fundraising prep, investor outreach and tracking, hiring, and the operational scaffolding young companies need before they have their own teams.
- Help run the family-office dimension, working comfortably alongside estate, tax and trust structures and treating personal matters with the same rigor and discretion as business ones.
- Prepare board and governance materials, agendas and follow-ups, and track action items to completion across multiple companies.
- Build and run the systems that make all of this scale — in an AI-native way, designing and automating workflows for research, outreach, drafting, summarization and operations rather than grinding through them manually.
- Take on whatever ad hoc, high-trust projects the founder hands you, from research and writing to standing up a process from scratch.
What we're looking for:
- 2+ years in a high-accountability role — investment management, a startup Operations or Chief of Staff seat, venture, or management consulting — where you owned outcomes.
- A genuine generalist who can move from financial detail to fundraising narrative to operational logistics without losing the thread.
- Demonstrated AI fluency: daily hands-on use of modern AI tools and a track record of using them to do more, faster, including comfort prompting well and standing up lightweight no-code or low-code automations.
- Exceptional project management across many concurrent, deadline-driven workstreams and stakeholders.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication, with the polish and judgment to represent the founder to investors, partners, advisers and counterparties.
- Strong numeracy and comfort with financial and legal documents — able to read them, spot what matters, and ask the right questions.
- Absolute discretion with sensitive business, financial and personal information, and the maturity to operate with minimal oversight.
- Preferred: exposure to venture, family-office or private investment, holding company and trust/estate structures, and a builder's background of automating things and shipping tooling.
