POSITION SUMMARY
The Head of Production (HoP) will oversee all aspects of the production process across the BCG Worldwide Network (Network): Burrell, Fitzco & Studio. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in integrated production. The ideal candidate will lead and develop talent across all levels of Production while defining the vision and shaping capabilities. The HoP will cultivate a culture of mentorship, advocacy, and accountability that enables team members to thrive, while driving innovation, evolving operating models, and identifying growth opportunities.
This is a fully remote, U.S.-based role with required travel up to 5% of the time. To support effective collaboration across teams, departments, and clients, Burrell employees are expected to maintain regular working hours of 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM CST, Monday through Friday.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Lead and oversee the Network’s Production, Business Affairs, and Content Studio operations, providing vision, strategic direction and hands-on leadership across the production lifecycle and workstreams.

Serve as the Network’s senior production leader, partnering with Creative, Experiential, Account Management, Strategy, Finance and Clients to develop production solutions that balance creative ambition, operational feasibility, and budget requirements.

Oversee production across broadcast, digital, social, experiential, content studio, print, events, and emerging media initiatives.

Develop production scopes, schedules, estimates, staffing plans, and resource allocation strategies while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Guide and support producers, business affairs professionals, and content studio team members, providing coaching and escalation support throughout the production process.

Establish and maintain production best practices, workflows, and operational processes that improve efficiency, consistency, and quality across the agency.

Partner closely with Business Affairs to maintain industry best practices as they apply to: talent negotiations, production agreements, vendor contracts, music licensing, intellectual property considerations, insurance requirements, and risk mitigation efforts.

Build and maintain strong relationships with directors, social creators, editors, production companies, freelancers, influencers, and other production partners to cultivate a diverse network of production resources capable of delivering exceptional work across both high-touch and cost-efficient production models.

Provide executive oversight of production budgets, reconciliations, forecasting, and financial performance, ensuring responsible stewardship of agency and client investments.

Act as the senior escalation point for production challenges, proactively identifying solutions to scope, timeline, budget, staffing, and client concerns.

Must have the capability to personally lead high-profile, strategically significant, or particularly complex productions.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Business, or equivalent related experience is preferred.

15+ years of progressive production experience within advertising, creative, integrated marketing, or content agencies, including significant experience leading integrated campaign production. Agency experience is required.

Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-channel productions for agency clients across broadcast, digital, social, experiential, print, and content ecosystems.

5+ years in a production leadership role, with direct responsibility for managing and developing production teams.

Proven ability to operate as both a strategic leader and hands-on producer, with experience personally overseeing a wide range of productions: from large-scale, high budget projects, to case studies, new business, and pro-bono content.

Strong understanding of production estimating, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, and financial management.

Working knowledge of Business Affairs functions, including SAG, talent contracting, influencer agreements, music licensing, rights management, intellectual property considerations, union requirements, production agreements, and risk management.

Extensive experience managing production vendors, freelancers, production companies, post-production partners, and creative talent.

Strong client-facing experience with the ability to build trust, navigate challenges, and present production recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Experience overseeing in-house content studios, creator-driven production models, or integrated production operations is strongly preferred.

Familiarity with AI-enabled tools, workflows, and emerging production technologies, with the ability to thoughtfully integrate them into Business Affairs, Production, and Content Studio operations to improve efficiency, scalability, and creative outcomes.
