FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The VP, Director of Sales is a senior-level leader who will report to the SVP of Sales.  They will be responsible for all sales-related revenue streams, including spot television, digital, mobile, and other non-traditional streams. This person will lead teams across thirteen offices to achieve revenue goals: effective yield management, accurate forecasting, budget creation and management, goal setting, and setting strategic direction with a clear execution plan. Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills are a must.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with station sales management, SVP, and direct reports

  • Maintain visibility with Media Directors and agency personnel across the country

  • Recruit, develop, and supervise talent

  • Collaborate with other departments, including Research, Human Resources, Finance, and IT

  • Provide senior management with an accurate picture of revenue conditions at all times

Requirements

  • 10+ years of industry experience

  • 5+ years of management experience

  • Proficiency in strategic and tactical thinking with strong analytical, leadership, planning, and budgeting skills

  • Openness to embracing new revenue streams and innovation

  • Ability to prioritize goals in a fast-moving environment

  • Ability to manage a large staff with various skill sets while building consensus across other Fox Corporation entities

  • Familiarity with industry trends and developments

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $360,000.00-390,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
