VP, Physical Production

FilmNation Entertainment is looking for a full-time Vice President, Physical Production, to join the

Physical Production team in our LA office. The VP, Physical Production will report to the SVP, Physical

Production.

Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon’s THE BIG SICK; Sean Baker’s RED ROCKET starring Simon Rex; John

Carney’s FLORA AND SON starring Eve Hewson and Joseph Gordon-Levitt; and THE GOOD NURSE starring

Eddie Redmayne and Jessica Chastain.

The VP, Physical Production will handle a full range of responsibilities, including but not limited to the

following:

• Oversee all aspects of physical production of assigned projects from development to delivery

• Ensure productions run smoothly, meet deadlines, and stay within budget

• Collaborate with show producers, line producers, production managers, and creative executives and offer assessments on budgets, production plans, and schedules

• Provide feedback on production risks and/or options that can impact budget and schedule

• Troubleshoot and communicate all production changes to internal and external teams

• Responsible for hiring and making deals for key BTL crew

• Continually monitor all projects with regard to schedule, budgets, update meetings, etc.

• Travel to set when necessary to evaluate work-flow, budgets, and potential problems

• Analyze budgets and cost reports

• Review Production Reports, Hot Costs, and Cost Reports

• Handle HR and/or labor law issues in conjunction with other FilmNation executives

• Continuously evaluate strategic workflows and recommend efficiencies for production

enhancement across all internal and production cross-functional departments

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• 10 years of Production experience with a minimum of 5 of those years in an Executive Production Management role

• Strong knowledge of Excel, Movie Magic Budgeting, Movie Magic Scheduling

• Able to manage several projects simultaneously.

• Driven innovative, strategic, and solution-focused

• Excellent verbal and written skills

This position's anticipated annual base salary is $135,000-$160,000. This range does not include any

other compensation components or benefits for which an individual may be eligible. The actual base

salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the

individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of

education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the

applicant lives and from which they will be performing the job.
