About WEEK-TV:

WEEK-TV is an award-winning station that leads the community in local news coverage and community involvement. It operates a number of TV stations in the Peoria, IL television market including WEEK 25 (NBC), Heart of Illinois ABC, and Peoria-Bloomington's CW.

Job Summary/Description:

The ideal candidate will be able to follow current events and present broadcast news stories to audiences in an informative, interesting, and unbiased way. Investigative Reporting, Streaming Newscasts, and Supervisory experience is required. Keep abreast of news developments by studying newspapers, attending events, etc.

Responsibilities will be to communicate with MMJ's mentor and advise peers on basic journalism techniques. Work directly with Assignment Manager and Assistant News Director to create fast-paced, smoothly sequenced, and fact-based broadcast and streaming newscasts daily.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • ️ Qualified candidates must have a degree in Journalism, Broadcasting, Communications, or a related field. Qualified candidates should have excellent writing and on-camera skills and a positive attitude. Candidates will also understand the importance of streaming newscasts and digital content.

Education
