Job Overview

Berman Group is seeking an Account Director to join our Public Relations team. We are looking for a motivated, organized individual who can think outside the box. In this role, you will work closely with a team of communications professionals with decades of combined public relations and social media experience. You will also collaborate with our Creative Design studio and Events team to create multi-faceted communications campaigns for industry-leading real estate, lifestyle, and hospitality clients. This is a hybrid position, requiring mandatory time in our New York City office.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee and manage multiple public relations and social media-focused accounts, providing strategic guidance and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate Effectively: Lead smart and thoughtful collaborations with senior leadership and our internal teams to lead and implement strategic PR and social media initiatives.
  • Client Communication: Oversee and lead client communications, providing strategic insight as needed.
  • Problem-Solving: Communicate in a solutions-oriented manner and proactively seek ways to expand your knowledge and enhance the client experience.
  • Media Relations: Lead efforts to secure media coverage for clients, ensure placement in key outlets, and demonstrate ability to leverage strong editorial contacts and relationships.
  • Content Creation: Work with our social media team to oversee social media content creation and creative campaigns to elevate the client's presence.
  • Build Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with influential reporters, editors, and media outlets.
  • Research & Opportunity Identification: Work with the team to lead and research new speaking opportunities, media outlets, and potential collaborators to recommend to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Mandatory 8 years of public relations and social media experience
  • Real estate experience required
  • Organized individual who is proactive and thoughtful in their work
  • Excellent written communication skills and compelling presentation skills
  • Experience and familiarity with top tier media outlets, including developing strategies to secure coverage
  • Deep familiarity with lifestyle, real estate, business, and design media outlets
  • Proficient in social media and knowledgeable about influential accounts
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Works well in a team-based, fast-paced environment

Pay: From $110,000.00 per year
