Job Description
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
ESSENTIALDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with staff and volunteers, assist with analyzing scripts, casting for children's productions, coordinates and teaches classes, coordinates theater summer camps, directs Children's productions, administrative tasks when assigned, special events.
- Responsible for marketing and design for classes, programs and performances.
- Assist with technical aspects of theatre performances including lights, sound, set construction and backstage.
- Assist in department wide events including but not limited to Tree Lighting, Dia de los Muertos, Halloween Carnival and Fourthfest.
PERIPHERALDUTIES
- May serve on employee committees
- Provide assistance and support to other departments on an as needed basis
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Theater Arts or Theater experience as noted below
- 2 years’ experience in acting/directing youth and adult preferred
- 1 year experience teaching at High School level preferred
- Marketing, graphic design and film experience preferred

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Specialized Theater School for acting and directing a plus.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Wide range of tools used in set construction, typewriter, phone, automobile, and any equipment needed in conjunction with department requirements.
