The Disney Experiences Technology & Digital team leads end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for tech initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including the MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney!

This position has an expected duration of 6 months with no guarantee of permanent placement.

What You Will Do

As the Manager - Portfolio Planning & Management, you will direct a team of analysts and drive accountability to meet overall portfolio health. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Lead planning, prioritization, and results for key financials such as Long-Term Plan, Annual Capital Plan, and Annual Operating Plan.

  • Manage a team responsible for consolidating and submitting Accruals, Reclasses, Amortizations, and Month-end Close.

  • Successfully deliver rationalized and prioritized portfolio input to forecasts in alignment with key parameters (financial targets, ramp-up plans, project priorities etc.). 

  • Synthesize complex information into concise stories, identifying key themes and takeaways and present it back to Executives for decisions.

  • Anticipate risks and opportunities, share reporting & insights, and make actionable recommendations to the executives and portfolio team.

  • Supervise resource demand and capacity across the portfolio and proactively plan for allocation across development and sustainment activities.

  • Identify and resolve issues in partnership with Planning, Delivery and/or Finance teams.

  • Grow both the team and the broader T&D delivery teams through training, coaching and mentorship.

  • Ability to initiate change and act with integrity when tough decisions must be made.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in portfolio, demand management, capacity planning and financial analysis.

  • Knowledge of financial processes, including consolidations of accruals, reclasses, forecasting, and amortizations.

  • Solid grasp of technology projects, software development lifecycle, and the business to tell the ‘story’ behind the numbers.

  • Able to drive teams to meet deadlines and deliver under a dynamic business environment.

  • Excellent business communication, writing, and social skills with all levels of leadership.

  • Practiced in negotiating with others in ways that result in win/win agreements and outcomes.

  • Mentoring and coaching abilities to ensure effective growth, development of team, matching skills to roles for individual success.

  • Proven skills in PPT/Keynote and Excel

  • Experience with industry standard project and portfolio management and reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Clarity PPM

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology, business-related field, communication, or equivalent experience

Preferred Education

  • Master’s degree in business administration (MBA)
