Position Overview
We are looking for a creative and driven Graphic Design Intern to join the Unwell team in Los Angeles. As a Graphic Design Intern, you will report directly to the Art Director and support the design team across a wide range of projects including brand campaigns, social media content, merchandise, and live events. This is an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience, build your portfolio, and learn from a highly creative, fast-paced team.
This is an unpaid internship based in our Los Angeles office. Exact start/end dates and schedules can be flexible depending on school schedules or other commitments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design Support:
● Assist in the creation of digital assets for social media, email campaigns, websites, merchandise, and event promotions
● Support the design team in building pitch decks, mockups, and internal brand materials
● Prepare and organize production-ready fi les for both digital and print outputs
● Assist with photoshoots, video shoots, and content creation days as needed
Creative Collaboration:
● Participate in brainstorming sessions, moodboarding, and concept development
● Work closely with the Art Director and Graphic Designers to ensure all creative work is consistent with brand guidelines
Brand Development:
● Help maintain and update brand assets across Unwell’s brands
● Provide design support for upcoming IPs and special projects
Trend Research and Inspiration:
● Research design trends, culture shifts, and visual inspiration to share with the team
● Bring fresh ideas to the table and stay tapped into pop culture, music, and entertainment
Minimum Requirements
● Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communications, or a related fi eld
● Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
● Basic understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and branding principles Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
● A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take creative direction
● Passion for design, storytelling, pop culture, and live events
● A portfolio (class projects, personal work, or freelance projects) that showcases creativity and design skills
