Job Summary:
Platform Distribution Sales Coordinator
The Platform Distribution team is seeking a Sales Coordinator, who will be an outstanding addition to our team. Our Platform Distribution Sales team is responsible for distribution of content for the best brands in the business including ABC, ESPN, Disney+, and Hulu, working with leading media companies like Apple, Roku, Comcast, Charter, Twitter, and many more. Be a part of the team that negotiates complex distribution agreements for Disney’s linear networks, direct-to-consumer products, TV everywhere applications, video on-demand services, and social media licensing.
The Sales Coordinator will play a supporting role in projects that help shape Disney Platform Distribution’s long-term strategy and assist with the team’s operational and administrative tasks. The right person for this role has proven organization, communication and analytical skills and is an individual that can grow to manage various responsibilities of content distribution and audience growth partnerships including: business development, executing partnership strategies, managing processes, understanding contractual compliance as well as successfully managing accounts with internal constituents, including Content, Marketing, Technology, Finance and Legal departments to successfully drive Disney’s content distribution priorities. Finally, they/she/he thinks big, learns quickly, and approaches everything with enthusiasm.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding solution oriented, problem-solving skills to create positive outcomes for The Walt Disney Company and will possess strong acumen in the media landscape.
Responsibilities:
Own client management operations (e.g., client database, hospitality) to support Sales efforts across a diverse set of platform partners.
Monitor industry trends and compile resources and summaries for the team.
Maintain resources related to key partners including deal summaries, industry overviews, and marketplace summaries informing deal strategies.
Support negotiations with key direct-to-consumer, digital MVPD, MVPD, and transactional stakeholders.
Establish and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders (e.g., finance, legal, marketing, operations) to properly support deal flow.
Serve as a supportive member of the team while fostering an inclusive team culture for learning and growth.
Organizational tasks to support team and client management (e.g., contractual certifications, programing calendars, provide tickets) to support Sales efforts across diverse set of platform partners.
Maintain resources related to key partners including deal summaries, industry overviews, and marketplace summaries informing deal strategies.
Account negotiation and executive material prep
Establish and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders (e.g., finance, legal, marketing, operations) to properly support deal flow.
Required experience:
Understanding of media industry landscape, including competitors and current trends
Strong organization skills and attention to detail to assist team with account and client management
Proven written (clear, concise, complete communications), verbal skills (including Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel)
Strong analytical thinker who is able to quickly identify and evaluate complex information break it down into component parts and make strong recommendations to the executive team
Ability to develop strong collaborative relationships with internal and external partners
Ability to manage competing priorities effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Work or education experience in finance, management consulting, strategy, or law
Industry experience in media, technology, and/or subscription business models
Experience in contract review and interpretation
Required Education
Bachelors or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in NYC is $62,730 - $81,180 per year. The hiring range for this position in Bristol, CT is $57,810 - $77,550 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
