About the Job

We are seeking a passionate and bold Production Artist who thrives in today’s digital media landscape and aligns with our ambitious, innovative, and self-driven culture. Reporting to the Production Manager and Senior Production Artist, this role involves the creative and efficient execution of scripted video content while continuously adapting and refining skills to enhance the team’s collective creativity. The ideal candidate is excited to tackle challenges that may seem impossible and is ready to help lead our team toward viral success in an ever-evolving production environment.

What You'll Do

• Work alongside production team members to create required visual assets.
• Utilize programs like Substance Painter and Blockbench to design and develop assets.
• Follow production timelines to ensure both short- and long-term projects progress efficiently.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver assets aligned with project goals.
• Maintain an organized and up-to-date asset library using Dropbox.
• Collaborate on story development by contributing creative input on visual themes, environment design, and character styling.
• Create visually engaging mockups and concept art to communicate ideas during pre-production.
• Adapt and optimize assets for multiple YouTube formats, such as Shorts, thumbnails, intros, and outros.
• Ensure visual consistency and quality control across all production assets, adhering to Catface’s creative standards.
• Stay informed on YouTube content trends, especially those relevant to Minecraft, Roblox, and other gaming platforms.
• Identify opportunities to improve production pipelines and suggest tools or process enhancements.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned to support overall team success.

What we’re looking for:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Experience with Substance Painter and Blockbench, or similar asset creation tools.
• Strong understanding of Minecraft/Roblox aesthetics and experience creating stylized, game-related assets.
• Familiarity with YouTube content trends, including Shorts, thumbnails, and visual storytelling techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, managing multiple projects and shifting priorities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in remote or digital-first teams.
• A proactive, self-motivated mindset with a passion for gaming, digital media, and creative problem-solving.
• Must provide sample work or a portfolio to be considered for this position.
