Job Description:
What will you work on?
The Licensing Coordinator will support the Product Development team by facilitating licensor product approval process for new consumer products for the assigned Global Brand Teams (GBTs) and franchises. In coordination with Brand Marketing and Product Design teams, as well as Legal, Finance and other departments, this role will ensure the compliance and keep accurate record of all licensed product approvals.
- Please note this is a remote role but successful candidate must live within the Los Angeles metropolitan area
How will you create an impact?
- Managing the licensor product approval process for new products within the licensor’s system and Spin Master’s product development process
- Ensuring the compliance of all product submissions, showroom displays, and marketing elements with licensors’ requirements. Maintaining all necessary records throughout the approval process
- Working with product development and design teams to ensure that licensor feedback, comments, and revisions are addressed and are within the milestones outlined in the product development calendar
- Conducting standardized reviews with Licensors to ensure all licensing requirements are met for each product
- Facilitating all PD-related contractual activities, such as production samples shipments, reviewing royalty statements by SKU to ensure that all reported items are approved, etc.
- Maintaining knowledge on all licensing changes and ensure changes are made in accordance with licensors’ timeline and volume requirements
- Reviewing and maintaining all operating records to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and contractual requirements/limitations
- Supporting all relevant departments to keep the licensing database up-to-date and provide the teams with all product-related contractual support
- Driving continuous improvement by recommending changes to internal processes procedures
What are your skills and experience?
- 1-2 years’ experience in Licensing or similar
- Must have a high level of discretion handling confidential information
- Strong attention to details and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering data
- Core emotional intelligence skills, such as managing emotions in positive ways, empathizing with others, and overcoming challenges
- Experienced in using most common FTP data/file transferring systems
- Proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experienced in using Adobe Acrobat, Adobe DocuSign
The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in California is $28-$33 dollars per hour. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Spin Master Inc. is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
