Are you a highly motivated, dynamic, and skilled individual that loves to entertain fans? If so, the LA Clippers is looking for a talented, dedicated individual to assist and provide support to Chuck The Condor, the mascot of the LA Clippers. You will collaborate with Chuck during game days as well as internal and external engagements. The ideal candidate will possess a flexible schedule and be capable of accommodating impromptu events when needed. Availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

This role entails the setup and breakdown of all mascot equipment on game days and adherence to mascot program guidelines and policies. Working in tandem with the Clippers mascot, you will contribute to the expansion of the mascot brand.

Your primary tasks will involve embodying an outgoing and vibrant personality, sharing in Chuck's performance, and representing Chuck's voice during appearances and in-game visits. Comfort with performing in front of audiences and being proactive with creative ideas is essential.

This is a part-time, non-benefitted position based out of our Downtown Los Angeles office.

What You Will Do

  • Assist Chuck during Clippers home games and various appearances.
  • Setup and dismantle mascot equipment on LA Clippers home game days.
  • Represent Chuck's voice at internal and external appearances, and in-game visits.
  • Contribute to expanding the mascot program.
  • Escort Chuck to team functions and games.

Your Background, Skills and Qualifications

  • Game Presentation experience preferred.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal acumen, particularly in interactions with children.
  • Ability to create impromptu crowd interaction and dance.
  • Prior acting experience will be a distinct advantage and prior training as a performer.
  • Exhibit an exceptional and engaging personality.
  • Highly organized, punctual and reliable.
  • Exhibit an ability to assimilate feedback from multiple sources and adeptly incorporate it into performances.
  • Display receptiveness to direction and instruction.
  • Posses reliable transportation to and from the office, appearances and games.
  • Display the physical resilience required to meet the rigorous demands of live entertainment.
  • Due to the nature of this industry, the candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weeknights, select weekends, and holidays

Compensation

  • $20 per hour.
  • The role is classified as non-exempt.
