Job Description
The Manager, Strategy & Operations at Paramount Advertising is a key position within the Strategy group, involved in cross-organizational strategic growth initiatives and innovative operational projects. The Strategy group works with Advertising Sales, Technology, Operations, Finance and Marketing teams to drive the development of overall sales strategy and to enable Executive Leadership to make strategic choices. The group is a key driver of change in the Paramount Advertising organization, while fostering collaboration and communication across all departments. The Manager is responsible for planning, executing, analyzing and visualizing various Strategy & Operations projects – this includes performing Excel-based analysis and developing well-designed PowerPoint presentations. The position has high exposure to Paramount Advertising leadership and provides valuable experience within the advertising industry to foster analytical and strategic planning skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, monitor and execute key strategic and operational projects for the Strategy Group
- Manage the National Sales Incentive Compensation plan design and quarterly payout execution
- Compile and analyze information from internal and external sources for each year’s Upfront strategy
- Create and maintain process roadmaps, issue logs, manage on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses, and help develop insights and recommendations for our business and the broader marketplace to drive business forward
- Build Excel models to analyze trends
- Produce well-designed and effective PowerPoints, articulating stories behind presentations clearly and succinctly to the executive management at Paramount
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and business areas such as digital and linear ad sales, finance, integrated marketing, operations, tech, legal and others
- Drive effective communication across diverse, cross-functional stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies
- Participate in strategic initiatives to define revenue growth opportunities across Social Media Influencer Landscape and Small/Medium Business Marketplace
- Prepare meeting minutes, meeting schedules, project summaries and updates
- Work on special projects and ad hoc requests as needed
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years experience in Media, Sales Operations, or related field
- Superior analytical and quantitative skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Additional Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge and interest in the media, entertainment, and advertising industry
- Ability to apply knowledge and resourcefulness in acquiring needed data, both from internal systems as well as external data and sources, understanding the proper internal groups on point to provide key types of data (e.g., financials, ratings, etc.).
- Can manage deliverables and moderate complexity projects independently
- Familiarity with sales CRM and reporting tools, such as Salesforce, Google Data Studio, and Tableau or similar visualization tools
- Experience with large data sets, synthesizing insights, financial / operational modeling and recommending actions from data
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
- Multitasking and excellent organizational skills

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $80,000- 87,500. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
