Content Design Coordinator (Kpop)
A2O Entertainment is a Global Culture and Technology Enterprise led by Producer Soo Man Lee, the founder of K-Pop (SM Entertainment).
The Content Design Coordinator will create engaging short-form videos, photos, and other visual content for a leading U.S.-based K-pop entertainment company, leveraging fan-generated content and existing content assets. This role focuses on producing trend-driven, platform-optimized materials for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other social media channels. The ideal candidate is a passionate K-pop fan with a strong understanding of U.S. fan culture, skilled in content repurposing, and adept at staying current with social media trends to enhance artist visibility and fan engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Repurposing: Transform fan-generated content (e.g., fan cams, fan art, concert footage) and existing assets (e.g., music videos, behind-the-scenes clips) into polished short-form videos, photos, GIFs, and other visuals for social media.
- Short-Form Video Production: Edit and produce compelling TikTok videos, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts that align with K-pop aesthetics and current social media trends, ensuring high engagement.
- Photo and Graphic Creation: Design eye-catching images, memes, or promotional graphics using tools like Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator, tailored to the artist’s brand and fan preferences.
- Trend Integration: Incorporate trending TikTok challenges, filters, sounds, and hashtags into content to maximize virality and relevance within the U.S. K-pop community.
- Fan Content Curation: Identify and obtain permissions for high-quality fan content, ensuring proper crediting and compliance with copyright guidelines.
- Asset Management: Organize and maintain a library of content assets, including fan submissions and company-owned materials, for efficient access and reuse.
- Collaboration: Work with the Social Media Manager, video production team, and artists to align content with marketing campaigns, album releases, or U.S. tour promotions.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all content reflects the artist’s visual identity and resonates with the U.S. K-pop fanbase while respecting the genre’s cultural roots.
- Analytics Support: Monitor content performance using platform analytics (e.g., TikTok Analytics, Instagram Insights) and provide insights to optimize future designs.
- Fan Engagement: Create content that encourages fan interaction, such as fan-driven challenges or reaction videos, to strengthen community ties.
Skills and Qualifications
- K-pop Enthusiasm: Dedicated K-pop fan with deep knowledge of U.S. fan culture, including fandom dynamics (e.g., stan accounts, fan projects) and artist-fan interactions.
- Content Creation Expertise: 1-3 years of experience in video editing, graphic design, or content creation, with a focus on short-form social media content.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut), design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva) and AI software for video and image production.
- Trend Awareness: Strong grasp of TikTok trends, social media algorithms, and emerging content formats to create viral-ready materials.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to craft content that honors K-pop’s Korean heritage while appealing to the diverse U.S. audience.
- Organization: Strong project management skills to handle multiple content projects, meet deadlines, and maintain an organized asset library.
- Communication: Clear written and verbal skills to collaborate with teams, secure fan content permissions, and engage with fans as needed.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting to rapid trend shifts and artist schedules.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, media production, communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Additional Requirements
- Fan Content Knowledge: Familiarity with sourcing and repurposing fan content, such as fan cams or fan edits, while navigating fan community norms and expectations.
- Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing short-form videos, social media graphics, or K-pop-related content, with emphasis on TikTok or Instagram deliverables.
- Language Skills (optional): Basic Korean language skills are a plus for interpreting artist content or liaising with Korean teams, but not required.
